Victim identified in suspicious death investigation by BPD

Blackwell Police Department are still Investigating the suspicious death of Eric Souder

Blackwell, Oklahoma - The Blackwell Police Department is currently investigating the suspicious death of Eric Souder, a 42-year-old resident of Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Souder was found deceased inside his residence located at 218 E Kansas Ave. on March 8th at approximately 4:20 PM.

Upon arrival, officers observed that Souder had significant injuries that were not consistent with natural causes.

The Blackwell Police Department is working with The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.

The Kay County Sheriff’s Office as well as the 8th District Attorney’s Offices Major Crime Unit are assisting with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Blackwell Police Department is committed to thoroughly investigating this incident.
