Blackwell Chamber to show JAWS at Memorial Pool in August

Get ready to experience “Jaws” like never before, thanks to the Blackwell Area Chamber of Commerce, Blackwell Tourism, and the City of Blackwell.

Steven Spielberg’s 1975 thriller that made a generation terrified of going in the water will be screened at the Blackwell Memorial Pool on Saturday, August 3, at 8:30 p.m.

The movie will be shown on an inflatable screen through a projector, and the audience will swim or float in the pool during the movie.

Tourism has purchased shark tooth necklaces and bracelets for the kids and will have volunteers in shark suits to add to the atmosphere.

T-shirts commemorating the event will be available, and various clubs and organizations will sell snacks and refreshments for fundraising opportunities.
