Pickleball Tournament set for Kay County Free Fair

September 04, 2025

Pickleball fever is coming to the Kay County Free Fair next week as the fairgrounds prepare to host a Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament on Thursday and Friday evenings, Sept. 11–12.
The fast-growing sport will take center stage from 6 to 9 p.m. both nights, with teams squaring off in a fun and competitive atmosphere. The tournament is open to all—whether you’re signing up with family, friends, or coworkers. Teams might include pairings like father-daughter, mother-son, cousins, or any combination in between.
Players can register together as a team or sign up individually, with solo players randomly paired with another registrant. The tournament will begin with a round robin format before moving into bracket play to decide the champions.
At the end of Friday night’s final game, trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams. Organizers promise the prizes will be as fun as the games themselves.
Spectators are encouraged to stop by and cheer on the competitors. Bleacher seating will be available for families, friends, and fairgoers passing through the grounds.
Registration is open now at secure.thehousefm.com/product/pickleball
Whether you’re playing or watching, the Pickleball Tournament is sure to be a highlight of this year’s Kay County Free Fair.
