City of Blackwell Announces Fourth of July Festival Plans
May 27, 2026
The City of Blackwell is preparing for a full day of patriotic celebration this summer with its annual Fourth of July Festival scheduled for Saturday, July 4.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 800 S. Main St. and will feature food trucks, vendors, baseball activities with the Blackwell Flycatchers, and a fireworks show to conclude the evening festivities.
City officials say the festival is designed to provide a family-friendly Independence Day celebration for residents and visitors alike.
Organizers are inviting the community to enjoy an afternoon of shopping, food and entertainment before the fireworks display begins at dark.
Vendor registration is currently open for businesses, food vendors and community organizations interested in participating in the event. Applications must be submitted by June 30.
Those seeking vendor information or registration details are encouraged to contact the city at 580-363-6442.
The Fourth of July Festival has become a longstanding summer tradition in Blackwell, bringing together families and community members to celebrate Independence Day with food, entertainment and fireworks.
A healthy Kay County requires great community news.
