The Blackwell Area Chamber of Commerce will once again be hosting a downtown cleanup in honor of Homecoming next week.
The annual Homecoming Cleanup will be held on Tuesday, September 24 at 6 p.m. on Main Street and is seeking participants to help beautify Blackwell for one of the town’s busiest weekends of the year.
As in recent years, the cleanup will be focusing on the area around Main Street stretching down to the Co-Op as the annual Homecoming Parade travels down Main Street from the Co-Op to the Fairgrounds.
The Blackwell Area Chamber of Commerce stated that they intend to make Blackwell beautiful so that those returning for Homecoming can be proud of their hometown.
